The missus has given me the green light to buy tickets! Trying to find a seat package that doesn't suck and doesn't give Bernie all of my money.

Anyone been before and can recommend a good spot?

I have been once but it was about 15 years ago, so I'm probably not much help. When I went we just had general admission tickets and found ourselves a reasonable spot trackside to watch (no seats though). I remember enjoying despite the lack of a great view.

I'd love to go again but have just never got around to actually buying tickets, and these days it's usually a busy time of the year work-wise so I can't be certain my weekends are free.

Turn 3 did look the goods, but I didn't want to be too far from the pit straights. Watching the race is only a small part of the weekend!

If you get a grandstand spot on the straight, can you also enter the general admission (grassy) areas?
